The General Hall is a hugely popular venue for animal shows, markets, antique fairs, sports days, machinery displays, trade shows, band rehearsals and our much-loved weekly car boot sale.

Our first floor Symington Suite is a real blank canvas. This lovely room is perfect for weddings, drinks receptions, funeral teas and private dinner, but is equally perfect for training days, business presentatyions and AGMS.

Our first floor is fully accessible with lift access available.

Our boardroom is the perfect spot for smaller meetings. With access to free wifi and a large tv screen our boardroom is an ideal location for hosting your online meetings in peace and quiet with a plentiful supply of tea and biscuits.

On sale days our rings and pens are an impressive hub of activity, however these spaces are also available to hire.

If you’re looking for a quirky and unique venue for your comedy night, band night or even wedding ceremony, look no further.

Our pens and rings are also available for animal shows, markets and school events.

 

Our extensive outdoor grounds are not just for sheep and cattle.

In addition to our 500 space main car park, there are additional designated parking areas available as well as a wide range of land options suitable for outdoor displays, concerts, festivals, funfairs and markets.

Lawrie & Symington Events

The Lawrie and Symington Agricultural Centre is a thriving events venue with an exciting and varied programme of live music, outdoor cinema and evening entertainment.

In addition to hosting our own ticketed events, our indoor and outdoor event spaces are available for private, corporate and agricultural hire.

With our event capacities ranging from as little as 12 to 2000 plus, we are equally at home hosting weddings, charity balls, private parties, ceilidhs, concerts and funeral teas as we are board meetings, business conferences, trade shows, team days and training courses.

Business and private clients can choose from one of our many events packages with innovative and show-stopping catering from our catering partner.

Each one of our event spaces is fully licensed, which means, if you are looking to offer your guests that extra something special, we can provide cocktail evenings, whisky and gin tastings, a wide range of drink reception packages as well as standard bar services for all events throughout the venue.

Should you wish to create something more bespoke, our event manager will be happy to work with you on a personally tailored plan for your event.

For larger conferencing events our full facility is available on an exclusive use basis where we can help support your larger attendee numbers with additional outdoor catering services as well as internal pop-up food and drink stands throughout the building.

All venue hires come with access to our free 500 space car park located at the main entrance. Additional car parking facilities are available throughout our extensive grounds.
